We are currently looking for a dynamic, self motivated Front Desk Agent who wants to gain firsthand experience or build on their current knowledge in a hotel. Please note this shift is strictly 4-5 shifts for 3:00pm - 11:00pm

As a Front Desk Agent you are responsible to provide professional and customer focused service to our guests, ensuring their stay will become a memorable experience and your role will include key responsibilities such as:

Provide prompt, courteous and efficient service to all guest, so as to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction through personalized service from arrival till departure
Ensure guests are personally greeted by name, if known and make them feel expected and welcomed
Conduct in room, hotel, and local area familiarization and assist guest in hotel activity enquiries / requests
Maintain an up to date knowledge of hotel information and local services, and any allied information to respond to guest queries
Maintain an awareness of rate levels to be sold on a daily basis and the occupancy levels
Accurately administer Front Desk cashiering including the operation of a credit card machine
Process accounts from check-in to check-out, ensuring accurate postings of all incidental charges using computerized Front Office systems
Maintain the privacy of all guests by ensuring that no details of the guests are disclosed
Demonstrate a complete understanding of the hotel's policies, procedures and service standards and have full knowledge of the hotel facilities and happenings.
Demonstrate an understanding of basic accounting practices.
Responsible for matching all of the days transactions and ensuring everything is balanced in all records including but not limited to credit card transactions, cash transactions, and transactions in the Property Management System (Visual Matrix)
Maintain a safe and clean hotel experience for all staff and guests.
Education, Qualifications Experiences-You should ideally have hospitality-related education and/or previous experience. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and knowledge in an additional language, along with strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities are essential. Computer literate (windows based) and previous experience with Visual Matrix Property Management System is an advantage. Knowledge of Best Western policies and procedures is an asset as well.

Knowledge Competencies-The ideal candidate will be customer driven and an extremely proactive and 'switched on' personality with an outgoing, charismatic and approachable character. You will work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and be a great team player, who thrives in working with a multi-cultural team and guests alike. We need strong applicants who are capable of working on their own and in a team environment. Tough situations can occur, so problem solving skills are essential. Front Desk agents must pay great attention to detail and dress in a professional manner at all times.

Position Information- This position is 3:00pm - 11:00pm You would be the only staff member on-site throughout the night. All potential candidates must be 1+ years of age or older. Uniforms are provided. Parking is free while on shift. Medical Dental benefit plan after 3 months probation.
