The Front Desk role is often the first point of contact for visitors, clients, or guests in organizations like hotels, offices, hospitals, or gyms. It’s a customer-facing position that combines administrative tasks with hospitality and communication skills. Here’s a detailed breakdown:
Key Responsibilities:
Greeting and Assisting Visitors
Welcome guests or clients warmly.
Answer questions, provide directions, or explain services.
Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
Managing Communication
Answer phone calls and respond to emails.
Direct calls or messages to the appropriate staff.
Handle inquiries about services, schedules, or policies.
Administrative Tasks
Check-in and check-out guests (in hotels or clinics).
Maintain logs, appointment schedules, or reservation systems.
Process payments, issue receipts, and handle simple billing tasks.
Security & Monitoring
Keep track of visitors entering and leaving the premises.
Ensure that unauthorized individuals do not access restricted areas.
Monitor front desk area for safety or compliance issues.
Problem-Solving
Resolve minor complaints or concerns efficiently.
Escalate serious issues to supervisors or management.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
