Delhi Press Magazines is one of India's leading magazine publishing houses, known for its bold, rational, and reader-centric journalism. We are looking for passionate freelance Hindi writers who can report on social, family, and political developments from their respective cities and states.
Key Responsibilities
Cover important social, family, cultural, and political events from your city and state.
Identify and develop compelling story ideas relevant to our readers.
Conduct interviews with individuals, experts, and public figures.
Gather accurate information through field reporting and research.
Write engaging, factual, and reader-friendly articles in simple Hindi.
Submit stories, photographs, and supporting information within agreed timelines.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Minimum: Graduation in any discipline.
Preferred: Post-Graduation.
Experience
Prior experience with a news media organization is preferred.
Candidates currently working with news media are encouraged to apply.
Applicants with an active and credible social media presence showcasing news or public-interest content may also be considered.
Skills Required
Excellent command of simple and grammatically correct Hindi.
Ability to write in a clear, reader-friendly style while avoiding overly Sanskritized language.
Strong reporting, interviewing, and communication skills.
Good observation, networking, and fact-gathering abilities.
Neat and legible handwriting is preferred.
Preferred Age
Preferably below 40 years.
Exceptional candidates above 40 years are also welcome to apply.
Essential Requirements
Own two-wheeler for local reporting.
Smartphone with a good-quality camera.
Laptop or desktop computer with internet access.
Willingness to travel within the assigned city/state for reporting assignments.
