Freelance Dance Tutors
Job Description
LMA Liverpool, London and Newcastle are seeking passionate and experienced Freelance Dance Tutors to join its growing teams.
We are looking for tutors with expertise in one or more dance styles and experience delivering engaging, high-quality teaching in further and higher education. Our programmes span Level 3 (BTEC), Levels 4–6 (undergraduate), and Level 7 (postgraduate), offering opportunities to work across multiple levels in areas aligned with your expertise.
Disciplines include: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Commercial, and Choreography.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging practical dance sessions across Levels 3–7
Support students’ technical, creative, and theoretical development
Prepare learners for performances and assessments
Foster an inclusive, industry-focused learning environment
Assess work and provide constructive feedback (training provided)
Contribute to curriculum delivery, assessment, and quality assurance
Essential Requirements
Professional experience in one or more listed dance disciplines
Teaching/lecturing experience in FE and/or HE
Strong communication and organisational skills
Commitment to student success
Desirable
Teaching qualification or HE teaching experience
Degree or equivalent professional experience
Industry experience as a performer, choreographer, or practitioner
