Millennium Building and Construction ( MBC) is looking for a skilled and dependable Framer / Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works well with others and has the hands-on skills to get the job done safely, efficiently and correctly.
What You’ll Do
Construct, erect, install and repair wood, plywood, wallboard and other structures and fixtures
Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials including wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel
Read and follow blueprints, building plans and project specifications
Install windows, doors and structural fasteners
Inspect existing structures for damage or wear and complete repairs or replacements
Use a variety of power tools, hand tools and equipment safely and effectively
Work collaboratively with the team to keep projects on schedule and to a high standard
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
What You Bring
Minimum 2 years of experience as a framer or carpenter
Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
Strong knowledge of framing techniques, power tools and hand tools
Ability to safely perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Ability to read and follow blueprints and project plans
Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team
Welding and structural restoration experience is considered an asset
