Job Summary
The Business Finance Manager will be responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, and performance analysis across business verticals- Healthcare Services (Clinics), diagnostic labs/CECs, and Wellness Services. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to optimize revenue streams, control costs, and support business expansion in the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
• Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans for clinic operations, diagnostics, and wellness services that support the strategy.
• Track KPIs (patient volume, test utilization, AR days, service profitability) and provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Analyse revenue cycles (fee-for-service, insurance reimbursements (as & when covered), package pricing and identify opportunities for margin improvement.
• Prepare & present periodic MIS & financial reports (Plan vs Actuals) with performance dashboards & strategic recommendations for senior management.
Revenue Optimization, Cost Control & & Commission structure:
• Pricing Strategy: Analyse pricing models for consultations, diagnostic tests, and wellness programs (e.g., memberships, corporate wellness etc).
• Cost Management & tracking: Monitor expenses (lab supplies, medical equipment, staffing) and implement efficiency improvements.
• Billing Oversight: Work with billing teams to ensure the completeness & wherever applicable optimize insurance claims processing, reduce denials, and improve collections.
• Managing Commission Structures for Clinics team including consulting doctors.
Business Strategy & Growth Support:
• Evaluate new service lines through financial modelling and ROI analysis.
• Support expansion initiatives (new clinics, lab partnerships, acquisitions) with feasibility studies and investment proposals.
• Collaborate with marketing to assess promotional campaigns, corporate wellness contracts, and patient acquisition costs etc.
Compliance & Risk Management:
• Ensure adherence to healthcare financial regulations.
• Implement internal controls for revenue recognition, inventory management (diagnostic supplies), and fraud prevention.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and healthcare financiers for compliance and funding needs.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
• Partner with Medical Directors or Mentors, clinic managers, lab directors, Wellness leads, team of Operations, Quality, marketing, project implementation Sales, Technology officers to align financial and operational goals.
• Mentor finance and core team of Clinics, Diagnostic and Wellness Centre (accountants, admin etc) and streamline processes (AP, compensation, inventory tracking etc).
Requirements
Education: Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Experience:
o 2+ years post qualification experience.
o Knowledge of medical & wellness centres billing, lab economics, and insurance reimbursement is an added advantage.
• Technical Skills:
o Strong Accounting Knowledge & Advanced financial modelling (Excel, Power BI). To be a Technology Savvy & have worked on ERP systems (Like MS Dynamics & lab-specific software).
o Familiarity with healthcare analytics tools is a +.
• Soft Skills:
o Strong problem-solving and ability to simplify complex financial data for non-finance teams.
o Influence cross-functional stakeholders.
