Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
We’re looking for someone to step into a Foreperson role within our maintenance team to lead the delivery of network maintenance works. Ideally you will have strong leadership qualities, and proven experience as a machine operator.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for supervising crews, coordinating resources, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Duties within your team will include:
Leading and supporting crews undertaking network maintenance activities
Planning and coordinating daily work programmes
Managing subcontractors, plant, materials, and resources on site
Monitoring productivity, quality, and safety performance
Completing site documentation, daily job records, and measure-ups
Coaching and developing team members through hands-on leadership
Working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes
Promoting a strong Zero Harm culture across all activities
Nga Pūkenga Matu | Important Skills
Minimum skills requirements:
Class 2 driver's licence
Wheels, Tracks and Rollers (WTR) endorsement
At least 3 years of relevant work experience, OR a level 4 qualification (skilled work experience can replace a formal qualification)
Ideally, you will also bring some of the below:
Machine operating experience in a civil or infrastructure environment
Experience leading crews within a maintenance, civil construction, or infrastructure environment
A practical, hands-on approach to leadership and problem solving
Sound knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements
A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering quality outcomes
