As a Forensic Expert, you will be responsible for analyzing digital evidence and supporting legal investigations. You will collaborate with legal teams, conduct forensic investigations, and provide expert testimony on cybersecurity incidents. Your expertise will be utilized to train stakeholders and enhance incident response capabilities.
• Responsibilities:
- Digital Evidence Investigation & Analysis:
- Conduct thorough investigations and detailed analysis of digital evidence to support legal proceedings or internal investigations related to cybersecurity incidents, criminal activities, or policy violations.
- Collaboration with Legal Teams:
- Work closely with legal teams to provide expert assistance in investigations and legal proceedings, including offering expert testimony, preparing forensic reports, and presenting findings in a clear and comprehensible manner to aid litigation, arbitration, or regulatory inquiries.
- Training & Guidance:
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams, law enforcement, and other key stakeholders on digital forensics best practices, evidence handling procedures, and incident response techniques.
- Continuous Learning & Process Improvement:
- Stay informed on the latest trends, tools, and advancements in digital forensics and cybersecurity
ensuring continuous enhancement of investigative processes and improving the effectiveness of evidence collection, analysis, and overall case resolution.
• Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech), Masters in Technology (M.Tech), Masters in Computer Applications (MCA), or an equivalent field.
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in IT, with a focus on digital forensics, cybersecurity, or related fields.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in managing or working on IT projects.
• Certifications:
- Certification as a Forensics Expert is required, with at least one of the following certifications:
- CFCE (Certified Forensic Computer Examiner) - Preferred
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CCE (Certified Computer Examiner)
- GCFE (GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner)
- GCFA (GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst),
