Job Description
Job Objective
We are looking for a dynamic and certified German, French, and Spanish trainer to join our faculty. The primary focus is to deliver high-quality language instruction to university students, ensuring they achieve communicative competence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing both the university’s prescribed curriculum and the anilingual "DICES" method (Discover, Interact, Communicate, Evaluate, Solidify), focusing on oral proficiency and practical application.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Delivery: Lead interactive classroom sessions using the "Direct Method," emphasizing speaking and listening from Day 1.
Curriculum Management: Adapt and deliver lessons based on the university syllabus and/or the anilingual course materials.
Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct formative assessments (continuous oral feedback) and summative assessments (end-of-unit/semester exams).
Evaluate students across four core competencies: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Monitor student progress and provide detailed feedback reports for university records.
Content Creation: Develop supplementary teaching aids, digital content, and role-play scenarios to enhance student engagement.
Cultural Integration: Introduce students to the cultural nuances, traditions, and etiquette of the target language’s native regions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Language Proficiency: Minimum B1 Level certification (as per CEFR) from an accredited body.
Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in the target language, linguistics, or education.
Experience: At least 1–2 years of experience in teaching adults or college students.
Methodology: Familiarity with Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) or the inlingua method is a significant advantage.
Location: Must be based in or willing to commute to Chennai.
Preferred Competencies
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a classroom of 30+ students.
Enthusiasm for fostering a "no-translation" zone in the classroom to encourage immersion.
