Riverbend Co-operative Ltd. is recruiting a Casual Food Demonstrator for our Outlook Food Store. This position supports our in-store food sampling and product demonstration program in partnership with Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) and plays an important role in enhancing our guests’ shopping experience.

About The Role

This is a casual role with consistent weekly hours; ideal for someone who enjoys food, engaging with people, and delivering excellent customer service.

Approximately 8 hours per week
Typically scheduled as two 4-hour demo shifts per week
Demos are offered most weeks of the year
What You Will Be Doing

Deliver a superior level of customer service and create a positive, welcoming atmosphere
Prepare, sample, and demonstrate products in-store to help drive interest and awareness
Share samples and product information with customers, promote products, and answer questions
Create memorable interactions that reflect the Co-op brand
Follow food safety standards and sampling procedures
Complete required documentation, including:
Product temperature logs
Deviations and corrective actions
Daily demonstration reports
Support demos aligned with the store’s rotating department focus
Safely use required cooking and warming equipment
What You Will Need

Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills
Commitment to excellent customer service
Ability to work independently and follow procedures
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to stand for extended periods; some light lifting may be required
Food Safe certification (training can be provided in-house if required)
Must be able to work evenings and weekends (as scheduled)
