Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cashiering, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
Greet customers warmly and assist with menu selections, upselling additional items when appropriate
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to meet health standards
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally
Qualifications
Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred
Knowledge of food preparation, serving, and sanitation standards
Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations
Good time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
Understanding of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
Kitchen or restaurant experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
