Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Floater Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The Floater Teacher plays a vital role in providing consistent, high-quality instruction across multiple classrooms, supporting classroom management, curriculum implementation, and individualized student needs. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment, fostering growth and development for children of various ages and backgrounds. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a passion for teaching, and experience working with young children.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing and implementing engaging curriculum tailored to early childhood development standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
Support classroom teachers by managing daily activities, behavior management strategies, and lesson planning to ensure a positive learning environment.
Provide direct instruction and tutoring to students in various subjects, including preschool activities, toddler care, and special education needs.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learners, including those requiring early intervention or special education services.
Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness while ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Collaborate with staff on classroom management strategies and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Engage with children to promote social skills, emotional regulation, and overall well-being through child welfare practices.
Support classroom transitions and assist with standardized testing preparations when applicable.
Experience
Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, private school, or Montessori environments.
Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
Experience with early childhood education concepts including childhood development, behavior management, literacy education, and toddler care.
Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and teaching physical education or tutoring is preferred.
Strong communication skills essential for collaborating with colleagues, parents, and students effectively.
Experience working with diverse student populations and understanding of child welfare principles is advantageous. This role offers an enriching environment for educators passionate about fostering young children's growth through innovative teaching methods and compassionate care.
