Job Description
**Key Responsibilities**
- Installation and Commissioning: Fire Pump Technicians install and commission fire pumps, ensuring they are properly connected to the water supply, electrical power, and the fire suppression network.
- Maintenance and Repair: They perform routine maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspections of fire pumps, motors, and related equipment. They also diagnose and repair any malfunctions, replacing parts as needed.
- Testing and Inspections: Fire Pump Technicians conduct regular testing of fire pumps and associated systems to ensure they meet performance requirements and code compliance. They also perform inspections to identify potential issues.
- Troubleshooting: They troubleshoot problems with fire pump systems, identifying the root cause of issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Record Keeping: They maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and testing activities.
- Compliance:
- They ensure that all work complies with relevant fire codes, standards (like NFPA 11), and safety regulations.
- Customer Interaction: They may communicate with customers regarding maintenance schedules, repairs, and system performance
