About the Role:
Search is recruiting an enthusiastic and proactive Assistant Accountant to join a thriving business. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic finance team, gaining valuable experience while supporting professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with monthly management accounts preparation.
Reconciling bank accounts, balance sheets, and inter-company accounts.
Preparing accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
Supporting budget and forecasting processes.
Assisting with VAT returns and ensuring tax regulations compliance.
Processing invoices and handling purchase ledger and sales ledger tasks.
Supporting in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Providing support to the Finance Manager and wider team on ad hoc projects.
Requirements:
Experience in a similar role, such as Assistant Accountant or Finance Assistant.
Part-qualified in ACCA, CIMA, AAT (or equivalent), with a desire to continue studying or qualified by experience.
Strong numerical and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
A proactive approach, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
