A mid-market Indian investment bank with a global presence is looking to hire a financial modelling analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for performing financial analysis and building valuation models required for investment banking, private equity, venture capital and M&A transactions. You will be responsible for managing complex excel spreadsheets with financial forecast models, variance analysis, and other financial/strategic performance metrics for private companies in a variety of industries.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain financial models from scratch on private companies based on company information, past financial statements and industry-specific operating metrics
• Conduct valuations based on DCF, comps and sector specific valuation methodologies
• Undertake complex financial research and analysis
• Conduct various analysis such as variance analysis, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis
• Demonstrate a broad knowledge of multiple sectors and markets including trends, current state of the sector and driving factors
• Prepare presentations with independent insights and outlook on the underlying / emerging trends in the sector
Qualifications:
• C.A./MB(Finance) with 3-8 years of experience in financial modelling and valuation
• Deep accounting (Indian context) and financial statement analysis skills
• Ability to synthesize and manage complex, interlinked excel spreadsheets
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Good communication skills, written and verbal
• Attention to detail
• Should be capable of multi-tasking and handling projects with tight deadlines
