The Fixed Asset Accountant is responsible for maintaining and updating the Fixed Asset Register accurately on a regular basis. This involves ensuring timely capitalization of assets, booking of depreciation, and adherence to company policy and applicable accounting standards.
Maintain and update the FAR with accuracy on a regular schedule.
Evaluate asset capitalization in accordance with company policies and standards.
Conduct periodic physical verifications of assets and reconcile them with the FAR.
Track asset movements, transfers, and disposals while ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
Coordinate with projects, procurement, and accounts teams to ensure timely capitalization and project closure activities.
Analyze CWIP (Capital Work in Progress) and facilitate timely capitalization processes.
Assist with monthly closing activities and prepare fixed asset-related schedules and reports.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements related to fixed assets.
Provide necessary documentation and reconciliations during statutory, internal, and tax audits.
Collaborate in initiatives aimed at improving asset management and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
This role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, as well as proficiency in financial software applications.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, along with relevant work experience and excellent communication skills.
