Role Description The Field Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Odisha, India. The role involves regularly visiting customers and communities to promote and explain various loan products, assisting with applications, documentation, and eligibility checks. Field Officers are expected to conduct group meetings, collect and verify customer information, follow up on repayments, and maintain accurate records of all field activities. The position also includes coordinating with branch teams, supporting customer onboarding through digital tools, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. The role requires building strong relationships with local stakeholders while representing the organization professionally in all interactions.
Qualifications
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills to interact effectively with diverse community members.
• Basic financial literacy and familiarity with loan products, microfinance operations, and repayment processes.
• Ability to work in the field, including frequent travel within assigned areas, and manage time and tasks independently.
• Comfort with using smartphones or tablets, digital applications, and basic data entry tools.
• Minimum educational qualification of a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, social work, or a related field is an advantage.
• Proficiency in local language(s) of Odisha and basic English reading and writing skills.
• Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and commitment to ethical practices, with a strong orientation toward community development.
• Prior experience in fieldwork, microfinance, banking, or community outreach is preferred but not mandatory.
