About the Role:
Varying contract lengths offered based on business needs.
We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our Field Officer Emergency Response Team. These roles are vital to maintaining the health and safety of South Australia's beaches and coastal environments. Your primary responsibility will be the removal and safe disposal of deceased marine life, including fish, from coastal areas and you will be required to participate in responses to state emergencies or associated duties.
Key Duties:
Conduct regular patrols of designated beach areas.
Identify, collect, and dispose of dead fish and other marine debris.
Operate basic equipment and vehicles safely (e.g., gloves, tongs, bins, trailers).
Record data on fish mortality events and environmental conditions.
Assist with public safety and beach presentation.
Follow environmental and biosecurity protocols.
Work collaboratively with other field staff and supervisors.
Participate in other state emergency responses or associated duties.
