About Curba
Curba is a Canadian peer-to-peer rental marketplace where people list their tools, camping gear, electronics, and equipment for others to rent. Think Airbnb, but for your stuff. We're based in Calgary and growing across Alberta.
The Role
We're looking for 1-2 outgoing, self-motivated people to help us sign up hosts (people who list items for rent) in southwest Edmonton. This is a ground-level marketing role - you'll be talking to real people face-to-face, not sitting behind a desk.
What You'll Do
Visit homeowners in target SW Edmonton neighbourhoods (Windermere, Terwillegar, Riverbend, Rutherford, Magrath Heights) with marketing materials
Talk to shoppers at hardware stores (Home Depot, Canadian Tire) on weekends
Attend community garage sales and campground areas to pitch Curba to potential hosts
Help people create their first listing on the spot using the Curba app
Distribute flyers at community leagues, bulletin boards, and local events
Track sign-ups and report weekly results
What We're Looking For
Comfortable talking to strangers - you don't freeze at a front door
Reliable, self-directed, and honest - you'll be working independently
Smartphone with data plan (needed to demo the app)
Available weekends (Saturday is the highest-conversion day)
Bonus: experience in door-to-door sales, canvassing, brand ambassador work, or real estate
You Don't Need
A degree
Previous tech experience
To know anything about rental marketplaces (we'll train you)
What We Provide

Training on the Curba app and the 15-second pitch
