Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Female Music Teacher specializing in Indian Vocal Music to join our Performing Arts Department. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Indian classical and semi-classical vocal traditions, along with the ability to inspire and nurture musical talent among students in a CBSE school environment.
The teacher will be responsible for conducting vocal music classes, preparing students for school events, competitions, and fostering an appreciation for Indian music and culture.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach Indian vocal music (classical, semi-classical, devotional, and folk) to students across different grade levels.
• Plan and deliver engaging music lessons aligned with the school curriculum and CBSE guidelines.
• Train students in voice culture, sur, taal, raga basics, and performance techniques.
• Prepare students for school functions, annual day performances, cultural programs, assemblies, and inter-school competitions.
• Encourage student participation in music clubs, choirs, and extracurricular activities.
• Identify and nurture musical talent among students through regular practice and mentoring.
• Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment during music sessions.
• Collaborate with other teachers for integrated cultural and performing arts projects.
• Assess student progress through performances, practical evaluations, and continuous feedback.
• Maintain records of lesson plans, student participation, and achievements.
• Support the school’s vision of holistic development through arts education.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Music (Vocal) or equivalent qualification.
• Certification or training in Indian Classical Music (Hindustani or Carnatic) preferred.
• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a school or music academy (CBSE experience desirable).
• Strong command over Indian vocal genres and teaching methodologies.
• Ability to play an accompanying instrument (Harmonium/Tanpura) is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for working with children and promoting music education.

• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Creative approach towards teaching music to young learners.
• Ability to organize and coordinate cultural performances.
