Job Description
We are seeking reliable and compassionate Female Home Care Support Workers to assist clients in Christie Park View SW, Calgary, AB.
Work hours will be 7:30 to * am (some shifts will be until 10:30 am) and 8 to 9:30 pm Mon-Sun. Additionally, there will be shifts from 11:30 to 1:30 almost every day.
Ideally, we would like a care worker who lives in the SW area, as it makes it easier to provide care to the client.
We are looking for 1-3 care workers to cover these shifts. HCA preferred.
The client is wheelchair-bound so the care worker needs to have experience with dealing with a client that require such aid and can help the client safely move from the bed to their chair.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming)
Light housekeeping and meal preparation
Medication reminders (no administration)
Companionship and emotional support
Accurate documentation of care provided
Qualifications
Previous home care, healthcare aide, or caregiving experience preferred
Compassionate, patient, and dependable
Strong communication skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Criminal record check (required)
CPR/First Aid certification (required)
Must speak either English, Punjabi, Hindi or Urdu
