Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate is a fashion enthusiast with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of garment construction and textiles. As a Designer at Sweet Apparel, you will play a crucial role in shaping our collections, ensuring they are not only aesthetically appealing but also marketable and in line with our brand identity.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate closely with the Design Director to develop concepts, sketches, CADs, and prototypes for new collections.
· Stay updated on fashion trends, market demands, and consumer preferences to create designs that resonate with our target audience.
· Research and select suitable fabrics, trims, and accessories for each collection, considering both aesthetics and functionality.
· Work closely with tech designers to oversee the development of prototypes and fits of garments.
· Collaborate with production teams to monitor the manufacturing process, ensuring timely delivery of finished products.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design with 5-6 years of experience in the fashion industry.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
· Experience with PLM systems is a plus
· Strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, and manufacturing processes.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
· Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality fashion pieces.
