Role Description The Fashion Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing seasonal collections, from initial sketches to final samples. Day-to-day tasks include researching trends, selecting fabrics and trims, creating detailed technical drawings, coordinating fittings, and collaborating with production teams to ensure design feasibility and quality. The role involves working closely with pattern makers, sample units, and embroidery teams to refine designs and maintain brand aesthetics. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jodhpur, requiring regular interaction with cross-functional teams and hands-on involvement in the design and sampling process.
Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Fashion Design and Fashion concepts, including collection development and silhouette creation.
• Knowledge of Textiles and Embroidery, with the ability to select appropriate fabrics, surface techniques, and finishes.
• Practical experience in Fitting and garment construction, ensuring comfort, accuracy, and quality standards.
• Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar) and ability to create clear technical sketches.
• Diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to translate mood boards and trend research into commercially viable designs.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site in a fast-paced studio or workshop environment.
• Previous experience in apparel design, particularly in womenswear, menswear, or ethnic/fusion wear, is an advantage.
