About the job:
Key responsibilities:
We are seeking a creative and experienced Fashion Designer to develop innovative and trend-setting designs for our collections. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of fabric and color combinations, and a passion for creating unique, high-quality garments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop seasonal collections, including sketches, technical drawings, and specifications for new garments.
2. Research current fashion trends, customer preferences, and competitor products to create market-relevant designs.
3. Select fabrics, colors, and patterns, ensuring they align with the overall design concept.
4. Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are executed to the highest quality standards.
5. Oversee the entire design process, from conceptualization to final production, ensuring timelines are met.
6. Collaborate with other team members, including buyers, merchandisers, and marketers, to ensure cohesive branding and product alignment.
7. Modify existing designs as needed to fit specific client requests or feedback.
8. Attend fashion shows, exhibitions, and other industry events to stay updated on trends and network with other industry professionals.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in fashion design, preferably in bridal or occasion wear.
3. Strong portfolio showcasing original design work.
4. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools.
5. Excellent understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, and pattern-making.
6. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
7. Creative flair and a passion for fashion and design.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
