Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and creative Sportswear Fashion Designer to join our dynamic design team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sportswear fashion, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of fabric technology and functionality. As a Sportswear Fashion Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing cutting-edge sportswear collections that align with our brand’s vision and meet the needs of our diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design Development: Create innovative and trend-setting designs for sportswear collections, including activewear, athleisure, and performance gear.
• Research & Trend Analysis: Conduct market research and trend analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and ensure designs are relevant and competitive.
• Technical Design: Develop detailed technical sketches, design specifications, and mood boards. Collaborate with the technical design team to ensure designs are practical and feasible.
• Fabric & Material Selection: Select and source appropriate fabrics and materials that balance performance, comfort, and style. Stay informed about the latest advancements in fabric technology.
• Prototype & Sampling: Oversee the creation of prototypes and samples. Collaborate with pattern makers and sample makers to refine designs and ensure quality.
• Collaborative Work: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and sales, to ensure designs meet business objectives and brand standards.
• Presentation & Feedback: Present design concepts and collections to internal stakeholders and gather feedback to refine and finalize designs.
• Trend Integration: Integrate feedback from customers, athletes, and market trends to continually enhance and evolve design offerings.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all designs adhere to quality standards and brand guidelines throughout the production process.

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field. Relevant certifications or additional training in sportswear design are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fashion design, with a focus on sportswear or activewear.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent sketching, illustration, and visual presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month

Education:
• Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:
• total work: 1 year (Preferred)
• Fashion design: 1 year (Preferred)

Role Description

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Researching current fashion trends and determining what consumers will like

2. Collaborating with the product team to develop ideas for new products based on research data & creating mood boards for the collection

3. Designing graphic sketches for new products with a design team

4. Creating clothing patterns for mass production

5. Testing and deciding on fabrics, colors, patterns, and textures for each design

6. Overseeing the production of designs, including carrying out fittings, determining prices

• Ability to work in a fast-paced fashion environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of current fashion trends
• Attention to detail and creativity
