Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Fashion Design Faculty specializing in Pattern Making and Garment Construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fashion design education and industry experience, with expertise in teaching advanced techniques in pattern drafting, draping, and garment construction. This role involves mentoring students, fostering creativity, and ensuring they are industry-ready upon graduation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in Pattern Making, Draping, and Garment Construction for fashion design students.
- Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that combine theory and practical application.
- Guide students through the process of conceptualizing, designing, and constructing garments.
- Evaluate student progress through assessments, critiques, and portfolio reviews.
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate them into the curriculum.
- Provide individualized support and mentorship to students to enhance their skills and creativity.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and extracurricular activities.
- Ensure classroom and workshop safety and maintain equipment in good condition.
- Collaborate with other faculty to foster an interdisciplinary approach to fashion design education.
• Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 years of professional experience in pattern making, garment construction, and fashion design, freshers can also apply
- Prior teaching experience in an academic or professional setting is preferred.
-Strong knowledge of fabric properties, sewing techniques, and garment production processes.
