JOB DESCRIPTION Fashion Designer Company: OneWear / Slip Off Location: Tirupur/Coimbatore / Could consider WFH candidates(but must be willing to travel to Tirupur on regular basis for sourcing & meetings) Experience: Minimum 5+ years in Fashion Design (SPECIALIZED IN MENSWEAR) Employment Type: Full-Time & Freelancing (open to both) Important Criteria: We are seeking a fashion designer with strong fabric expertise. This role requires the ability to align design with fabric understanding which fabrics, blends, weaves, or knits will support a specific design and quality standard. Since our brand operates in the work-to-play segment, the designer must think beyond visuals and ensure that every design is appropriate for the intended fabric, usage, and comfort. Fabric knowledge is a core requirement, not an added skill. Salary: We work with a modular compensation system. There is a base salary for core fashion design, and then add-on pay for any extra responsibilities you take such as packaging design, social media creatives, inner-wear brand development, or export merch. Since we are a growing brand, you will learn across multiple verticals from sourcing to apparel development to branding which usually takes many years in large companies. Your final salary will depend on your preferred responsibilities, and we do a formal review after 3 months. Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedFashion Designer (5+ years) with strong commercial thinking, trend awareness, and hands-on product knowledge. The designer will work acrossOneWear apparel ,SlipOff innerwear ,packaging ,branding , andinternational merch design . This is a multi-disciplinary role requiring both creative and technical strength. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1 Apparel Design (Most Important) Lead the design ofmenswear, womenswear, and kidswear : T-shirts, shirts, polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts, denim, lounge, and innerwear. Createmood boards, concept boards, tech packs, market research decks , and seasonal collection plans. Strong understanding of fabrics, fibres, blends, GSM, construction value, trims, finishes, and print techniques. Ability to thinkcommercially what will sell offline & online, consumer wearability, price-value logic. Must stay updated withglobal fashion trends, minimal streetwear, premium casual wear, runway developments , and convert insights into product concepts. Peer brands we want to target are: Rare Rabbit, Sunspel, COS, Everlane, March Tee (minimalistic everyday essentials screaming mid premium affordable luxury) 2 Fabric & Sourcing Support After designing, accompany the team forfabric sourcing, color selection, trims, wash approvals , and factory visits. Work closely with vendors to ensure fabric compatibility with design intent and brand standards. Travel required (Tirupur mills, Surat, Mumbai for sourcing hubs). 3 SlipOff Innerwear Brand & Store Design Contribute design direction for the SlipOff innerwear line and upcoming store formats. Support withinnerwear silhouettes, fits, color cards, packaging, store displays , and premium branding. Maintain a distinctive, clean, minimalist brand identity across all SlipOff categories. 4 Packaging, Labels & Branding Design premium packaging for OneWear and SlipOff Createwash-care labels, neck labels, hangtags, fusing stickers, barcodes, dieline-ready artworks . Develop satin-texture luxury packaging concepts, geometric themes for boys, pastel + satin for girls, etc. Ensure all files areprint-ready with correct margins, bleed, and specifications. 5 Social Media & Digital Creatives Design social media content for OneWear & SlipOff. Create brand visuals, catalog layouts, ads, reels frames, banners, and campaign creatives. Maintain a consistentminimal, premium, global aesthetic across platforms. 6 International Music Merch Design (Beatles, Pink Floyd, etc.) Support on export merch design when required for international clients (Beatles, Pink Floyd, Ed Sheeran, FRIENDS, etc.). Developfresh, globally competitive artwork beyond basic band prints retro, neon, psychedelic, modern streetwear, collage, abstract, etc. REQUIRED SKILLS Minimum 5 years of fashion design experience (mandatory). Strong proficiency inAdobe Illustrator & Photoshop . Expertise infabrics, fibres, blends, GSM, construction value , trims, stitching basics. Ability to makemood boards, trend boards, collection plans . Strong creative sense paired withcommercial product logic . Knowledge ofprint techniques (screen, DTG, DTF, embroidery, puff, discharge). Ability to balance high creativity with realistic production capabilities. WORK STYLE / EXPECTATIONS If based elsewhere, must be open totravel .
