Family Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview: Our client is looking for a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner to join their team in Brampton. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive healthcare services to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of chronic illnesses.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct physical exams, obtain patient histories, and develop treatment plans
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory disorders
• Prescribe medications and therapies as needed
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays
• Provide prenatal and postnatal care, including family planning services
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records

Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner certification
• Current registration with the Nursing regulatory body in Canada
• At least 2 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple patients with diverse needs
