Family Law Litigator

Job description
We are looking for an associate lawyer (LL.B. or J.D.) to join us in serving an established client base in and around Owen Sound, Ontario. The successful candidate will develop a family litigation practice, working alongside and under the mentorship of Erroll Treslan, senior partner. 3-5 years' experience is preferred, but any applicants qualified to practice law in Ontario are invited to apply.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who wishes to practice in a small southwestern Ontario city with a professional staff and collegial bar. Owen Sound is situated on the shores of Georgian Bay, offering an excellent four-season recreational lifestyle. Living outside the Greater Toronto Area offers affordable urban or rural accommodation, with the convenience of only a 2-hour drive to Pearson International Airport.

We serve individuals, corporations, and municipalities, primarily in Grey, Bruce and Simcoe Counties. As a full-service law firm, we carry on practice in civil/family litigation, real estate, wills/estates, municipal law, labour/employment, and business law. The successful candidate would have the opportunity to develop a family law practice.

This is a partner-track position. The ideal candidate is ambitious and does not shy away from a challenge. Attention to detail and razor-sharp written communication skills are a must.

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year, plus performance-based bonus pay structure
