About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Factory/Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations at our furniture production facility.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of managing skilled workers and ensuring high-quality, timely production of furniture items according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and manage the shop floor, including carpentry, polishing, and upholstery teams.
• Ensure all furniture products meet quality standards and design specifications.
• Monitor daily production targets and ensure timelines are met.
• Coordinate with the Purchase Department to track inventory levels and procure raw materials as needed.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks or delays in the production process.
• Maintain discipline, safety, and workflow efficiency across departments.
• Implement quality control procedures and continuous improvement practices.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and needs to senior management.
Requirements
• Proven experience in managing production teams in the furniture or woodwork industry.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Working knowledge of furniture production processes (woodwork, upholstery, polishing).
• Ability to interpret design specifications and translate them into production workflows.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with raw material planning and procurement coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
• Degree in Manufacturing, Production Management, or related field.
• Experience using production management tools or software.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing or process optimization.
