The Hamlet of Tulita is seeking a motivated and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Public Works team. This is an exciting opportunity to build a rewarding career while enjoying northern living in a welcoming community.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $85,000–$115,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, inspection, and general upkeep of all Hamlet-owned facilities and infrastructure, including the Municipal Office, Cultural Centre, Arena, Swimming Pool, Public Works facilities, Hamlet-owned housing units, and other municipal buildings.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on municipal buildings and equipment.
Complete carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical, and minor electrical repairs.
Inspect facilities and identify maintenance requirements.
Operate hand and power tools safely.
Assist with municipal infrastructure maintenance as required.
Respond to emergency maintenance situations, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications
Experience in building maintenance, construction, or a related trade.
Knowledge of carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems is an asset.
Experience operating heavy equipment is an asset.
Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract.
Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently.
Willingness to obtain WHMIS, Standard First Aid/CPR, and Confined Space Entry certification.
