Export & Sales Administrator
Location: Bishopbriggs, Glasgow

As our business continues to grow in both UK and international markets, we are looking for an experienced Export & Sales Administrator to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in international shipping, export documentation and sales administration to play a key role in ensuring our customers receive an exceptional service from order placement through to worldwide delivery.
The Role
Working closely with our Sales, Production and Logistics teams, you will be responsible for managing customer orders and coordinating exports to customers around the world. You will ensure shipments are processed accurately, efficiently and in full compliance with international shipping regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Process customer orders from receipt through to invoicing and dispatch.
Coordinate UK and international shipments by air, sea and road.
Prepare and manage export documentation, including:
Commercial invoices
Packing lists
Certificates of Origin
Bills of Lading
Air Waybills
Export declarations
Liaise with freight forwarders, couriers and customs agents to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Ensure compliance with UK export regulations, customs requirements and international shipping procedures.
Maintain regular communication with customers, providing order updates and resolving delivery queries.
Support the Sales team with order administration and customer enquiries.
Work closely with Production and Warehouse teams to ensure customer deadlines are achieved.
Maintain accurate records within our ERP system and ensure all documentation is completed correctly.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working in a busy manufacturing environment. You'll have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering outstanding customer service.
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience in an Export Administrator, Export Coordinator, Sales Administrator or similar role.
Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures and export documentation.
Experience working with freight forwarders and customs processes.
Good understanding of Incoterms®, customs requirements and export compliance.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
Experience using ERP or order management systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable
Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Knowledge of HMRC export procedures and customs declarations.
Experience with commodity codes, preference documentation and Certificates of Origin.
Experience with Letters of Credit or documentary collections.
Additional language skills would be advantageous.
