We are a diverse team of around 800 people working across metropolitan and regional South Australia to develop and protect the state's regions and industries. About the Role
The Senior Contract Management Consultant will provide specialist contract management advice and guidance to PIRSA officers on the development, performance, and processing of contracts. The role involves assisting with the negotiation and administration of contracts, as well as ensuring compliance with the agency's contract management framework and policy.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of contract law and best practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert contract management advice and guidance to PIRSA officers on the development, performance, and processing of contracts;
Assist with the negotiation and administration of contracts, including fee-for-service and related contracts, commercialisation licenses, intellectual property management agreements, confidentiality agreements, memorandums of understanding, material transfer agreements, and other types of contracts;
Ensure compliance with the agency's contract management framework and policy;
Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve project goals and objectives;
Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
Requirements
Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience;
Certificate in Contract Management or equivalent experience;
Proven experience in contract management, preferably in a government or regulatory agency;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines;
Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Familiarity with contract law and best practices;
Willingsness to undertake ongoing training and professional development;
