About Us: Wurzel specialises in crafting bespoke technology solutions for both commercial and residential properties. From installing P2P dishes on stately homes to setting up cinema projectors in pool rooms, our work takes us to exciting new locations every day. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional solutions that exceed our clients' expectations.
The Role: As a Network Engineer at Wurzel, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and expanding our communications network infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
Installing, fault-finding, fixing fibre optic and Cat5/6 cable, including splicing and ODTR operation
Understanding the core backhaul network of an ISP for build outs and maintenance
Mast climbing (training provided if necessary) to install P2P dishes and other equipment
Setting up internal WiFi networks tailored to the unique requirements of each property
Utilising network management software to optimise performance
Configuring hardware and cabling to ensure seamless connectivity
Contributing to the installation of security solutions (such as CCTV & intercoms) and audio-visual setups (speaker systems and cinema rooms)
Working alongside qualified electrician within the business
Requirements:
Good understanding of networking principles and protocols.
Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to work at heights and in diverse environments.
