Job Title: Support Worker

Location: North and East Adelaide

Provider: Gemcare Support Services Pty Ltd

Working Hours: Monday to Sunday, Shift work

Position Type: Casual

Gemcare Support Services is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, experienced support worker to join our team in various Adelaide metropolitan areas. We are looking for an individual who can provide exceptional support to our various participants at various locations with psychosocial disabilities and challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care: Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming as needed.

Companionship: Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, helping them maintain a positive outlook.

Daily Living Activities: Aid clients in daily activities and routines, promoting independence wherever possible and management of daily behavior.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of the support provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate personnel.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Experience: Prior experience in a similar support worker role and mental health and challenging behavior is highly desirable.

Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Transport participants to various locations to assist with appointments and community participation using company's van or personal car

Certifications: Relevant certifications in support work.

Background Check: Must be willing to undergo a background check as part of the hiring process.

Transport: Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes across various regions in Adelaide; must have a valid Australian driver's license.
