Essential Functions And Primary Duties
Month end reconciliations and closing procedures – including bank reconciliation, income reconciliation between software, review general ledger coding, balance liabilities, etc.
Operate accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger maintenance and financial close process.
Prepare monthly sales and use tax for clients
Understand basic payroll functions for recording.
Prepare or assist in client’s internal financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP or other relevant accounting standards.
Coordinate reporting requirements with external auditors and tax accountants (as needed).
Input, process, and/or approve payables through third-party, web-based payables systems such as Bill.com or Anybill.com
Perform self-review to ensure accuracy of work.
Communicate directly with team and clients related tasks.
Assist with year-end 1099 processing
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) accounting software – ProAdvisor Certification a plus
Proficiency in Quickbooks Desktop, Xero, Yardi, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Gusto, other software skills a plus
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
Ability to manage multiple client assignments simultaneously
Ability to be flexible on day-to-day workloads that change with client needs
Strong understanding of deadlines
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Must have completed at least one "busy season"
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
Proficient use of applicable technology
Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
