Software Co is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team and support our financial operations in Ahmedabad.
Job Summary: The Experienced Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative and financial tasks, including bookkeeping, project accounting, payroll management, and other accounting and reporting duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within a tech-focused environment and will be proficient in handling multiple tasks with precision and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-Day Administration:
• Manage daily financial transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Bookkeeping:
• Perform regular bookkeeping tasks including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Project Accounting:
• Monitor and report on project financial performance.
• Track project costs, revenues, and profitability.
• Work closely with project managers to manage budgets and forecasts.
Payroll Management:
• Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Manage employee benefits and deductions.
• Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
Other Accounting Duties:
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial planning.
• Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights for decision-making.
• Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other statutory requirements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a software development or tech-focused company.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with project accounting and financial management in a project-based environment.
• Familiarity with international accounting standards and multi-currency accounting.
• Experience in managing payroll.
