Job Description
RMC Switchgears Limited is expanding its Solar Module Mounting Structure business in the Rajasthan market and is looking for a driven, industry-experienced Business Development Executive who can hit the ground running. This is a closing-focused role: the primary mandate is to convert existing leads into confirmed orders and to build a self-sustaining pipeline, addressing a current gap in lead-to-order conversion.
Location - Jaipur, Rajasthan (HQ-based, with travel)
Experience - 2–4 years of direct sales/business development experience within the solar industry, specifically in module mounting structures, BOS components, or closely related solar EPC hardware.
Key Responsibilities
• Own end-to-end conversion of inbound and assigned leads for solar module mounting structures — from first contact through technical discussion, commercial negotiation, and closed order.
• Proactively build and manage a qualified pipeline of EPC contractors, solar developers, channel partners, and direct customers across Rajasthan.
• Run a disciplined, dated closing sequence for every opportunity — no lead left without a defined next step and follow-up date.
• Prepare and deliver timely, accurate technical-commercial quotations within agreed SLA turnaround.
• Conduct site visits and client meetings to understand project requirements (fixed-tilt, seasonal-tilt, tracker-compatible structures) and recommend suitable configurations.
• Coordinate with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately translated into offers and delivery commitments.
• Maintain rigorous CRM/pipeline hygiene — log every call, meeting, and follow-up; keep stage and close-date fields current.
• Track competitor pricing, product positioning, and market movements in the mounting structure segment; feed insights back to leadership.
• Support participation in industry events, exhibitions, and channel partner engagement (e.g., ELECRAMA) as required.
• Report weekly pipeline status, conversion metrics, and blockers to the Sales/BD Head.
