Job Description
FanCode is launching its 24x7 sports OTT channel for sports enthusiasm. This role will require input in all aspects of the channel, but primarily, the role is curate the schedule for 24x7 playout.
The Executive (Programme Planning and Scheduling) will have to create daily, weekly and monthly programme schedules to support FanCode’s broadcast operations. He/she will execute programme schedules by engaging in constant communication with the non-linear media operations team. He/she will also coordinate the placement of network content promotions in collaboration with other teams.
Responsibilities:
• Working closely with the operations, product and content teams. You will be responsible for implementing the overarching sports scheduling strategy, as well as updating and maintaining the FanCode Broadcast System
• Collaborate with the Advertising Sales team to create commercial placement schedules
• Working as a channel scheduler to ensure proper timing of the EPG
• Create daily playlists for playout and transmission
• Identify opportunities to enhance the financial potential of specific content by increasing the number of advertising slots
• Maintain a database of fillers and advertising material to plan for meeting contingent requirements
• Entering promos, match highlights, match replays, break bumpers and other short-form content into the schedule, while ensuring product policy is adhered to
• Working with external playout partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of presentation schedule
• Maintaining run logs on a daily basis
• Working closely with the content team and ensure that all line-ups are in place
• Researching current trends for future programming and forward planning
• Acting as the primary day-to-day contact for channel administration
• Attending technical and editorial meetings to ensure full knowledge of FC TV roadmap for channel delivery
Must Haves:
• 1-2 years scheduling experience
• Experience with MS Excel and BI databases
• Intermediate with MS Word & MS PowerPoint
• Knowledge of sports broadcast scheduling systems
• Analytical, naturally inquisitive and a problem solver
• Superb communication skills, both verbal and written
Good to Have:
• Adobe Photoshop, desirable but not necessary
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Eager to develop skills and knowledge of broadcast systems
• A sports fan (Because you will be surrounded by sports content 24x7)
