The Excavator Operator will be responsible for digging, grading, and paving while adhering to safety protocols and project specifications.
Responsibilities
Operate excavators and other heavy machinery such as graders, bulldozers, and loaders to perform excavation tasks.
Execute horizontal drilling and site preparation for construction projects.
Dig trenches, foundations, and other necessary excavations as per project requirements.
Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Follow all safety regulations and guidelines while operating machinery on-site.
Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing equipment and materials after use.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Excavator Operator or similar role in the construction industry.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Experience operating graders, bulldozers, backhoes, and loaders is highly desirable.
Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques is a plus.
Ability to read blueprints and understand project specifications.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety practices.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Valid driver's license may be required depending on job site location.
