About the Role
The Office of the Director of the Public Prosecutions (Cth) (CDPP) are seeking an experienced and motivated Evidence Services Consultant to lead the delivery, governance and continuous improvement of evidence services that support organisational objectives and informed decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and collaborative professional to lead complex work, drive innovation and provide expert advice in a dynamic environment.
As an EL1 Evidence Services Consultant, you will lead the management and optimisation of evidence services, ensuring data integrity, quality and accessibility while supporting business outcomes. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve processes, strengthen governance frameworks and identify opportunities to leverage technology and data to enhance service delivery.
The role requires strong leadership, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities while fostering productive stakeholder relationships. A background in information technology and data analytics in a legal or investigative environment will be highly regarded.

Strong leadership and the ability to lead complex pieces of work with minimal direction;
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and translate it into practical recommendations;
Highly developed stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills;
Experience managing competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes;
A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering client-focused services; and
Sound judgement, resilience and the ability to work effectively in a regulated environment.
Desirable Experience
The following experience will be highly regarded:
Experience with database software, for example Relativity, NUIX, Ringtail or EDT, is essential;
Background in Information Technology, Information Management or Digital Services;
Experience analysing and interpreting complex datasets to support operational or strategic decision-making;
Experience leading system enhancements, digital transformation or business improvement initiatives;
Knowledge of data governance, information security and records management principles; and
Scripting ability in VBA and batch is highly desirable but not essential.
