Events amp Projects Assistant

Job description
Salford Pride are looking for voluntary Events & Projects Assistants to support the Events & Projects Coordinator and Events & Projects Development Lead with the planning, facilitating and delivery of a wide range of Salford Pride branded activities, events and projects including our main project The Pink Picnic. These should be inclusive and diverse with a strong focus on engagement, community and raising funds to help with funding for Salford Pride. The role will require the candidate to be able to commit 4-6 hours per week and to attend one online meeting and one in person meeting a month in Salford.

Responsibilities and Duties:

responsibilities of the Events & Projects Assistant are as follows:
• To support with the organisation and development of regular Salford Pride events and projects under advisement of the Events & Projects Development Lead and the Events & Projects Coordinator;
• To bring ideas for new events and one-off themes for regular events to the Events & Projects Development Lead and the Salford Pride team for approval;
• To work alongside the Events & Projects Development Lead and the Events & Projects Coordinator in ensuring that Salford Pride events are safe and are not undertaken with any risk;
• To support with the delivery of all activities, events and projects delivered by Salford Pride;
• To correspond with the marketing team to promote all Salford Pride activities, events and projects including use of social media and photography, to maximise attendance and funding to ensure the success of all Salford Pride activities, events and projects;
• To support the Events & Projects Development Lead and the Events & Projects Coordinator with the organisation and delivery of our major project, The Pink Picnic;
• To support in the proceedings of our major project, The Pink Picnic with tasks and activities assigned too by the Events & Projects Development Lead and the Events & Projects Coordinator;
• To support the Events & Projects Development Lead and the Events & Projects Coordinator with securing sponsorship for our major project The Pink Picnic;
• To support, facilitate and the work with other Salford Pride team members with regards to the delivery of all Salford Pride activities, events and projects.
