The NT Writers' Centre is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Festival Manager. This key role will be responsible for the overall management of the NT Writers Festival in 2026, ensuring its success and growth.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the Festival Artistic Director to develop and implement event and program strategies. They will also liaise with artists, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution.
\

Key Responsibilities
\
Develop production schedules and manage timelines in consultation with the Festival Artistic Director
Liaise with artists to arrange travel and accommodation
Volunteer recruiting, inducting, managing, and rostering
Liaising with ticketing providers to refine ticketing systems
Supporting the implementation of media and publicity strategies
\
Requirements
\
Essential skills: Festival style experience, previous experience in coordinating and managing multi-day events, communication skills, negotiation skills, fortitude, commitment to diverse communities, project management skills
Organisation skills, capacity to plan, deliver, and evaluate multi-day events, budgeting skills, basic technical production requirements, relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
