Position Overview/Responsibilities For The Estate Specialist/Tax Accountant
• Prepare Federal and State fiduciary income tax and gift returns.
• Handle trust accountings, including conservatorship and estate accountings, for submission to the relevant court.
• Prepare tax returns for foundations, such as ++0PFs, and manage the application process for exemption recognition (Form 1023).
• Stay updated on changes and developments in tax laws.
• Prepare probate documents and related paperwork.
Required Skills for the Estate Specialist/Tax Accountant:
• Experience filing 1041 forms
• Experience using a Documentation Management System
• Excel
• Prior experience in a client facing role
• CPA is preferred
