Entry Level Payroll Advisor

Rārangi Utu ā-Mātauranga - Education Payroll Limited (EPL) is a Crown entity that delivers pay to schools and kura on behalf of the Ministry of Education. With around 200 employees, we deliver one of the largest and most complex payrolls in Australasia.

The combination of great people and cutting-edge technology enable us to pay around +7,000 teachers and support staff across 2500 schools accurately and on time every fortnight. That’s approximately $251 million a fortnight and $6.5 billion each year.

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

After an initial 4-week training period, you will support users of the school’s payroll system across the busy end of year and start of year period. Your responsibilities will include,

Processing payroll transactions inline with legislation and employment agreements
Providing support to customers via email and phone
Reviewing data for accuracy and maintaining accurate records
A typical day as a Payroll Advisor includes joining your team for a morning hui, supporting our customers, processing various payroll changes, and enjoying social interactions with our friendly teams.

We have multiple fixed term (6-month) entry level Payroll Advisor roles commencing on 30 September 2026 until 28 March 2026.
