Overview
We are expanding our Surrey team of self-employed tutors.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Tutor to support learners of various ages and backgrounds. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and a strong ability to communicate effectively. This is face-to-face tutoring in Surrey
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and personalised English lessons tailored to each student’s needs and learning style.
Develop customised lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching methods and educational resources.
Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
Support students with special educational needs by adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
Foster a supportive and motivating atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence.
Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, and student progress for reporting purposes.
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student development when necessary.
Skills
Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably in an educational setting.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently.
Experience working with children or young learners.
Knowledge of special education principles and strategies is an advantage.
Organised, adaptable, and capable of creating engaging lesson content suited to diverse learning needs.
Passionate about education with a genuine desire to support student growth and development.
Must have a DBS or be able to pass a police check
PGCE and QTS preferred
Pay: £30.00 per hour
