Qualifications:
Hold a degree and NJ teacher certificate K-12 English or Middle School English Language Arts
Desire to work with middle school or high school students and able and willing to put in the required time
Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning
Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the content field when holding a content specific teaching responsibility on the elementary level
Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community, demonstrating good moral character
Possess insight patience adaptability in order to teach students of varying ability levels
Able to engage students at high levels addressing students learning styles
Understand student sensitive difference
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary
