Position Overview
Job Title: Engineer - Data Visualisation SME
Location: Pune, India
Role Description:
An Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and delivering significant components of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals efficiently and reliably. Key responsibilities of this role include active participation in the design of their solution components, investigating re-use, ensuring that solutions are fit for purpose, reliable, maintainable, and can be integrated successfully into the overall solution and environment with clear, robust and well tested deployments.
Engineers actively look for opportunities to improve the availability and performance of components by applying the learning from monitoring and observation, automating towards zero touch, and championing a 'DevOps' mind-set.

Your Key Responsibilities
• Work with a team of data scientists, analysts and engineers to translate stakeholders challenging questions into solvable analytical problems
• Create innovative and compelling visualizations that solve those problems across all functions at the bank
• Wireframe and build prototypes to define visualization needs
• Design and build data pipelines
• Implement an agile approach to Business Intelligence, including rapid prototyping, short but frequent development cycles, continuous customer feedback
• Work with the wider C&IN team of developers and data scientists to embed data visualization best practices
Your Skills & Experience
• An excellent track record of using analytics to solve business problems
• A unique combination of technical data skills and visual design skills, enabling you to make beautiful impactful & pixel perfect visualizations using tools like Tableau, Python, SQL
• Strong communication skills and a use of language both spoken and written that a technical expert will appreciate but the layman can understand
• A deep concern for the user, in their experience and journey
• A fierce advocacy for data visualization best practices and guidelines, but also the wisdom to know when to break them
• A portfolio of existing work
