The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with the 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for Australia’s 950,000+ registered health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications, and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

Reporting to the ACT Territory Manager, the Engagement Liaison Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting stakeholder engagement and strengthening partnerships across the Canberra health landscape. Provide high-quality, confidential secretariat support including diary and inbox management, meeting coordination and preparation of agendas, minutes and records.
Support stakeholder engagement planning, reporting, and projects aligned with Ahpra’s National Scheme Strategy and Engagement Strategy.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders across government, health professions and the community.
Respond professionally to stakeholder enquiries, resolving issues and escalating risks where appropriate.
Provide local office support and contribute to a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
Work collaboratively with Engagement colleagues nationally to deliver shared priorities and initiatives.
You are a highly organised and proactive professional with strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to provide high level support in a complex environment. Confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, you take pride in building strong relationships and delivering a seamless experience. With sound judgement, discretion and attention to detail, you effectively manage competing priorities to ensure engagement activities are delivered efficiently and professionally.
