Embedded Architect Industrial Protocols Gateway
Location: Gurgaon, India

Role Overview
We are hiring an Embedded Architect / Sr. Technical Lead to work on Industrial Protocol Gateway products, focusing on multi-protocol communication, real-time data exchange, and industrial device integration.
The role requires deep expertise in:
• Industrial communication protocols
• Gateway product architecture
• Real-time embedded systems and networking stacks
You will drive the design and development of high-performance, reliable protocol conversion gateways used in mission-critical industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
Gateway Product Architecture
• Design and architect industrial protocol gateway solutions
• Define multi-protocol data flow and conversion logic between heterogeneous industrial systems
• Build scalable and modular gateway architectures for industrial deployments
Industrial Protocol Development
• Develop and enhance support for:
• EtherNet/IP (Adapter/Scanner roles)
• Modbus (RTU/TCP Master/Slave)
• Profinet (IO Controller/Device)
• DNP3 (Master/Outstation)
• Implement protocol translation and mapping between PLCs, SCADA, and field devices
PLC & Industrial Integration
• Integrate gateways with PLCs such as:
• Allen-Bradley (Rockwell)
• Siemens (S7 series)
• Work on tag mapping, register mapping, and data modeling
Embedded Networking & Systems
• Develop embedded applications on Linux/RTOS platforms
• Handle:
• Socket programming
• Multi-threading
• Inter-process communication (IPC)
• Optimize network throughput, latency, and determinism
Performance & Reliability
• Ensure real-time data handling and deterministic communication
• Improve system stability, failover handling, and recovery mechanisms
• Debug complex field issues using tools like:
• Wireshark
• Serial analyzers
• Protocol simulators
Security & Industrial Standards
• Implement secure communication mechanisms:
• TLS/SSL
• VPN (IPSEC/OpenVPN)
• Work with industrial cybersecurity best practices
• Support secure boot, firmware integrity, and certificate management
Development Excellence
• Drive:
• Code reviews
• Architecture governance
• Best practices in embedded design
• Ensure adoption of:
• CI/CD (Jenkins)
• Static code analysis
• Automated testing frameworks
Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Industrial Protocol & Gateway Expertise (Must-Have)
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• EtherNet/IP (Scanner/Adapter implementation)
• Modbus RTU/TCP
• Profinet
• DNP3
• Deep understanding of:
• Protocol conversion gateways
• Data mapping between heterogeneous systems
• Experience working with industrial protocols gateway products
PLC / SCADA Integration
• Experience integrating with:
• Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLCs
• Siemens S7 PLCs
• Knowledge of:
• Ladder logic interaction (basic understanding)
• Tag/register mapping
• SCADA communication flows
Embedded Systems
• Strong programming in C and C++
